Timothy Guenthner is a software engineer in Austin with a decade of experience building cloud-native backend services and microservice architectures. An aerospace engineer by training, he pivoted to software in 2015 and has focused on replacing monolithic SaaS solutions with scalable distributed systems. He currently leads development and occasionally acts as Scrum Master for a team migrating microservices to Docker containers managed by Kubernetes, at Microsoft since 2021. At NICE Ltd, he spearheaded the move from .NET Framework to .NET Core, designed a containerized Docker/Kubernetes/Helm architecture, and helped implement CI/CD with Jenkins. His hands-on research background in hypersonic wind tunnels and embedded control complements his software discipline, and he holds BS and MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M.
