Monika Venčkauskaitė is Head of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group at BPTI and a Vilnius-based AI leader with nine years of experience building and operationalizing machine learning systems. She designs and deploys models across anomaly detection, computer vision, reinforcement learning and time-series, and she led the multi-institutional EU-Guardian cyber security project focused on autonomous response and trustworthiness of AI for defence. Her early work in particle physics at CERN and Oxford—applying ML to Higgs and neutrino analyses—gives her atypically deep statistical and data-infrastructure grounding. Monika combines hands-on MLOps and production skills (PyTorch, LLMs, CLIP, YOLO, Kubeflow/MLflow, Terraform, Kubernetes, GCP/Azure) with experience migrating and deploying models to cloud and edge. Active in the Lithuanian AI community, she mentors students and startups and bridges research rigor with operational delivery of secure, self-improving AI systems.
