Ariel Adam is a hands-on engineering leader based in Israel and currently Director of Engineering at Red Hat, combining an MBA and an MSc in Computer Science with deep practical expertise across kernel networking, virtualization, SDN/NFV, Kubernetes and hybrid-cloud deployments. He has led teams delivering end-to-end stacks from kernel and device offloads (virtio/vDPA) through kata and confidential containers to k8s operators and CI/CD frameworks, while maintaining an upstream-first open-source approach. Known for balancing product, R&D and process, he builds and mentors teams, manages budgets and external funding, and consistently takes projects from idea to PoC to production. Less obvious: he chaired an Open Networking Foundation wireless subgroup and led the Neptune MAGNET collaboration, turning academic-industry research into real-world telco software.
