Arnaud Grignard is a researcher specializing in complex systems modeling, information visualization, agent-based modeling, and tangible interfaces, with a PhD from UPMC. Since 2016 he has been a Research Scientist in the City Science group at the MIT Media Lab, advancing real-time, data-driven simulations and a novel agent-based visualization approach for urban analytics, including work on the CityScope platform deployed in cities worldwide. He has been a principal developer of the GAMA Platform since 2011, a technology used across academia, public sector, IT firms, and architecture practices for building spatially explicit simulations. In 2021 he was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship and joined Université de Lyon to lead ReAgent, combining ABM with tangible interfaces to support decision making in urban planning. Based in Lyon, he maintains collaborations with MIT, CNRS, UCBL, UNDP/UN-Habitat and industry partners, illustrating a rare bridge between rigorous modeling and real-world urban applications.
