Kimmo Koskinen is a Helsinki-based programmer with 13 years' experience building WiFi and location-aware software, from Java/Swing desktop tools and native library bindings to Clojure/ClojureScript web applications. He combines a hacker’s curiosity with formal training (MSc in Context and Location Information from LUT) and a history of hands-on Linux and WLAN administration, which helps him bridge low-level systems and high-level domain-driven design. After a long tenure developing networking products at Ekahau and product-focused roles at Solita, he now consults at Metosin where he spends more time on Clojure and the web. He has explored home automation and built a DBUS-based actor-like system on Linux, and is an advocate of functional programming, clean code and pragmatic design. Outside work he regularly hacks interesting Clojure projects and balances engineering with family life as the father of two energetic boys.
