Adam Casson is a Staff Research Engineer focused on neural networks for histopathology images and cancer detection, bridging academic research with production-ready AI systems. With nine years in the field, he specializes in weakly supervised and self-supervised computer vision, and he optimizes distributed training and inference on GPU clusters for large-scale ML pipelines. He is currently at Tempus AI, following Paige's acquisition, where he builds robust training and evaluation infrastructure and ships scalable ML services. Earlier at NBCUniversal and Paige, he shipped ML pipelines for media assets, researched Bayesian and temporal word embeddings, and led efforts to deploy models as RESTful services and containers. He earned a BS in Imaging Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and is based in New York.
