Govind Kabra is a seasoned engineering leader with two decades of experience building and scaling machine learning applications across maps, data platforms, and autonomous systems. As Director of Engineering at Meta since 2020, he shapes large-scale ML initiatives and production-grade systems in a fast-moving enterprise. He previously led Aurora's Perception Platform and headed the Perception Data/ML Platform, advancing safe and rapid deployment of self-driving technology. Earlier at Uber Maps, he steered routing, places data, and map quality, delivering significant efficiency gains while building high-performing engineering teams. His tenure at Foursquare included delivering a 50-million-places geospatial dataset, leading 50,000 superusers in crowdsourcing and ML-driven data quality improvements, and building robust data infrastructure.
