Steven Hughes is a strategic energy infrastructure executive with more than a decade of leadership in renewable energy development, construction, financing and asset management. As Managing Director at Low Carbon, he oversees the construction and operation of a rapidly growing portfolio of renewables across the UK, Europe and North America. He previously built and ran Europe-Australia energy transition portfolios at Foresight Group, overseeing over £8bn AUM across development, construction and operations. At RES he advanced from Turbine Engineer to Global Director of Asset Management, enabling growth to more than 5 GW of wind, solar, storage and transmission assets and guiding the transfer of RES assets into a FTSE-listed fund at IPO. He holds an MSc in Renewable Energy from Loughborough, a BE in Civil Engineering from Strathclyde, and an Executive Programme from London Business School, blending technical depth with strategic leadership. Based in the UK, he combines rigorous asset stewardship with a focus on sustainable finance and cross-border project delivery.
