Top SchoolA Laken is a climate and nature tech strategist with 12 years of hands-on experience translating domain science into product and commercial impact across sustainability, biodiversity and net-zero markets. Currently a private consultant based in Georgia, they advise frontier sustainability ventures on product, process and management while co-founding and previously leading product and science teams at climate startups like Refuel Intelligence and Cervest. Their background blends a PhD in Physical Geography with postdoctoral research and research software engineering, enabling rigorous, reproducible approaches to climate risk, remote sensing and ecosystem analysis. At Cervest they built EarthLab and led science teams that directly influenced fundraising, technical due diligence and zero-to-one product innovation for Climate Intelligence. Equally comfortable in R&D and commercialisation, they focus on market-based tech solutions that make biodiversity and climate risks actionable for industry. A less obvious strength is their track record of moving academic science into high-impact products and funding outcomes, bridging the gap between research credibility and startup execution.
