Top SchoolA Simmons is a pragmatic, people-focused Lead Security Engineer in Houston with 14+ years delivering measurable improvements in cybersecurity, DevOps, and cloud migration across enterprise and consulting environments. At ADP and Deloitte he architected Kubernetes CI/CD, automated threat-intel workflows that cut response time from hours to 15 minutes, and led large-scale AWS migrations that reduced costs and MTTR substantially. He blends hands-on engineering (automation, SOAR/SIEM, serverless integrations) with team building and operational change, routinely turning legacy systems into scalable, reliable platforms. A longtime entrepreneur and Navy technologist, he pairs disciplined, data-driven security decisions with a talent for mentoring and culture change that boosts productivity. Notably, he runs a consulting practice since 2007 and describes himself as an autodidact and polymath focused on usefulness and design.
