Top SchoolAamir Islam is a software engineer based in New York with 8 years of experience building full-stack and mobile applications, now contributing at Meta after a multi-role tenure at The Routing Company. He combines a Northeastern University CS and Business Administration background with hands-on experience in React/React Native, Python, PostgreSQL, and QA automation, having shipped a cross-platform mobile app and reduced test failures through Selenium-driven suites. At The Routing Company he progressed rapidly from co-op to senior engineer, showing a knack for owning features end-to-end and scaling systems in a startup-to-growth setting. Earlier leadership roles in student media illustrate strong mentorship and production discipline—he trained and managed teams on shoots and editing while running a weekly news show. Colleagues would describe him as a pragmatic engineer who bridges product and execution, comfortable moving between prototyping and production-grade delivery.
