Top SchoolAaron Marais is a versatile software developer with 13 years of experience building web, mobile, and server-side solutions across fintech, crypto, and industrial domains from the Western Cape. He has blended hands-on engineering with leadership as CTO and VP-level security roles, shaping architecture, CI/CD, and mentoring teams while still shipping features and fixes. His recent work spans building React and mobile trade clients, API integrations, caching services to avoid rate limits, and device packet servers, showing comfort across full-stack stacks including Node, React, MongoDB, Redis, and nginx. Curious since childhood, he pairs a tinkerer’s instinct for bending technology to purpose with disciplined practices around tests, code review, and regulatory compliance. Known for concise technical documentation and a no-shame learning culture, he often converts R&D into practical examples that upskill teams. Collected experience in startups and product companies means he’s equally at home prototyping features and operationalizing them for production.
