Senior🎓
Top SchoolAaron Paterson is a versatile software engineer with 10 years of experience building cloud-native APIs, data pipelines, and customer-facing web solutions across startups and SaaS platforms. He has delivered GraphQL and REST integrations for eCommerce (Shopify, Stripe) to provide accurate duty and landed-cost calculations, architected resilient microservices on AWS and GCP, and drove reliability improvements that enabled 100% mean uptime through automation and observability. Equally comfortable in backend systems and hardware, Aaron has implemented high-throughput Spark ingestion pipelines, reduced task failures with backpressure patterns, and designed Arduino-based IoT puzzles for escape rooms. He combines hands-on deployment automation (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes) with pragmatic product thinking—evidenced by a successful donation campaign for a farm site he built—and maintains a curiosity for quantum computing and machine learning research.
