Summary
👤
SeniorAashish Adhikari is a data scientist with nine years of experience applying ML, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to real-world problems, most notably reducing data center energy costs by up to ~34% during his graduate research. Comfortable across the full model lifecycle, he designs MDPs and reward functions, implements model-based and model-free RL, and builds efficient tooling such as an O(1) replay buffer to speed training. He brings strong engineering practices—Docker, AWS/SageMaker, Ray, REST services and unit testing—alongside hands-on data work in Python, SQL, R and extensive use of PyTorch, NumPy and scikit-learn. Aashish mentors and teaches ML concepts (experience as a TA and instructor) and has led projects spanning vision, NLP and alloys hardness prediction, showing a rare mix of theoretical depth and applied experimentation. Based in Dallas, he actively prototypes personal projects (you’ll find late-night weekend commits) and maintains a public portfolio showcasing reproducible artifacts and research. He is now seeking internships or entry-level roles where he can translate RL and ML research into operational cost savings and product impact.
