Senior🎓
Top SchoolAbel Masila is a Senior Frontend Developer based in Nairobi with a decade of software engineering experience building scalable web and mobile products across React, Redux, React Native, and TypeScript. Currently driving Pepeta’s frontend and mobile stack, he led the internationalization architecture that turned a single-market betting product into a multi-country platform and is spearheading the Uganda market launch. He has a strong full-stack background—Apollo GraphQL, AWS, Python Flask and Node—built through roles that include shipping groups booking flows, AI-assisted developer workflows, and mental-health chatbots. Abel combines hands-on feature delivery with developer experience work, having refactored shared UI primitives and introduced AI tooling and TypeScript best practices to boost team productivity. He’s pragmatic about compliance and localization, enabling rapid market onboarding with minimal code changes, and mentors teammates through code reviews and pairing. Outside product work he brings experience in ERP and systems administration, which informs his operational approach to reliable deployments.
