Top SchoolAchalaesh Lanka is a seasoned software engineer with 13 years of experience, currently building cloud monitoring and observability features at AWS CloudWatch. He holds an MS in Software Engineering from San Jose State University (3.8 GPA) and has a strong backend and microservices background from roles at PayPal and Tech Mahindra, complemented by full‑stack and mobile experience leading engineering at a startup. His technical toolkit spans Java, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, Node.js, React Native, databases (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Neo4j) and performance-focused front-end optimization. At PayPal he worked on compliance-focused services in a microservices architecture, and at Pridock he engineered a bounding algorithm to track user activity and achieved sub-second site load times—evidence of both system design rigor and product-minded performance tuning. Based in California, he combines large-scale cloud service development with hands-on product engineering and an appetite for continuous improvement and collaboration.
