Top SchoolAcy Watson is a seasoned software engineer and tech lead with 10 years of experience building scalable front-end platforms and developer-facing products from AWS to Meta. Based in Seattle, Acy led cross-functional teams to deliver authoring and messaging systems used by hundreds of millions, drove the open-sourcing and maintenance of Facebook’s Lexical rich-text editor, and shipped accessibility- and security-conscious features at scale. Comfortable across full-stack and platform concerns, they’ve architected CI/CD, canary deployments, and complex integrations for edge and distributed environments. Acy pairs hands-on contributions—such as implementing nested list styling, indent/outdent behavior, and e2e tests in a high-profile open-source editor—with mentorship that has accelerated early-career engineers into promotions. Their background in international studies and Russian adds an uncommon geopolitical perspective to product thinking and cross-team collaboration.
