Adam Coard
Summary
👤
SeniorAdam Coard is a senior application architect with 11 years of experience designing and delivering mission-critical web and cloud systems for government and startups, currently leading engineering and delivery at AOT Technologies in Victoria, BC. He blends hands-on coding with architecture and people leadership—having modernized legacy stacks, built a provincial MSP rewrite, and led BC’s new FOI platform while mentoring one of the largest teams at his firm. Comfortable from greenfield to brittle legacy, he architects resilient OpenShift/Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and even built an OpenShift-based computer vision platform integrating ML into scalable production. He’s pragmatic about reducing technical debt and accelerating feature delivery, and he continually pushes for accessibility, automation, and measurable operational uptime improvements. Uncommonly for an architect, he remains deeply involved in front-end design systems (creator of MoH-Common-Lib) and native mobile builds, proving he’s both a force multiplier and a hands-on implementer.
