Top SchoolAdam Menges is a product-focused designer-engineer and founder with 13 years of experience building multimillion-dollar startups and shipping practical AI and visual intelligence products. He co-founded Lobe (acquired by Microsoft) and Visual Electric (acquired by Perplexity) and led design and product at fast-moving teams like Lowkey (acquired by Niantic), blending machine learning engineering chops from early roles at SendGrid and Apple with product leadership. Now a Scout at a16z and VP of Product at Reve, he’s focused on making visual intelligence accessible and commercially robust. Trained at Colorado State and MIT CSAIL’s HCI program, he pairs deep technical fluency with a designer’s curiosity—an approach he credits to the Charles Eames ethos that great design requires being a great engineer. An unconventional through-line: he repeatedly turns camera-first ideas into scalable products and outsized exits while maintaining a mindful, travel-minded perspective.
