Summary
👤
SeniorAdam Schackart is a geospatial analyst transitioning from active-duty military intelligence to cyber warfare in the reserves, bringing 11 years of experience applying technical rigor to complex operational problems. He designs and implements high-performance systems in his spare time, notably a 500k+ SLOC cross-platform game engine with a multithreaded, SIMD, tile-based software rasterizer that achieves 540p 30fps on a Raspberry Pi 4. His engine includes a custom scripting language, shader-like post-processing, full spatial 3D audio, modular extensibility, and a novel handle-based object system that enables advanced reflection and memory safety. Based in Happy Valley, Oregon, Adam blends disciplined, mission-focused engineering with deep hands-on expertise in low-level performance, systems architecture, and long-lived open-source game development. An unexpected detail: he also has a background in techno music, which informs his approach to audio and creative tooling in his projects.
