Adam Willoughby-knox is a Senior Technical Manager with 13 years of experience leading engineering teams to build fast, reliable, and feature-rich web applications. Based in Richmond, VA, he combines hands-on expertise in TypeScript, React, Node, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes with a strong background in frontend performance, build tooling, and migration strategies. He’s driven large transitions—from CoffeeScript/Backbone to modern ES2018/React stacks—and balances developer coaching, architecture, and delivery in a microfrontend environment. Known for making testing and performance approachable, he also moves quickly between languages and stacks (notably contributing in Go early in roles) and mentors managers to scale productive, cohesive teams.
