Aditya Asopa is a research scientist with a decade of experience bridging systems neuroscience, computational thinking, and hands-on experimental techniques. Trained as a veterinarian and now a PhD candidate from NCBS Bengaluru, he has led electrophysiology and optogenetics studies of hippocampal circuits to probe excitation–inhibition dynamics and timing in neural networks. At Anthriq he applies this deep experimental and quantitative background to research problems that sit at the intersection of brains, machines, and learning. Passionate about education reform, he actively promotes low-cost, open-source, DIY science tools to democratize technical learning earlier in schools. Outside the lab he pursues endurance sports, starwatching, birding, classical dhrupad music and photography—interests that inform a curiosity-driven, multidisciplinary approach to problems.
