Adriaan De Jongh is a Dutch game designer and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience creating experimental, socially-driven games and indie hits like Hidden Folks. Self-taught in code from age eighteen, he co-founded Game Oven in 2011 and later led projects as founder and CEO of Hidden Folks, continuously shipping inventive titles such as Secret Shuffle, wurdweb and the mobile-favourite Bounden and Fingle. He balances hands-on design and prototyping with community leadership—founding the Midgame Fund, docontract.com, playdev.club and helping build the Dutch Game Industry Directory. His work often moves players out of traditional play spaces, encouraging physical and social interaction as core mechanics. Adriaan has advised cultural funds and served on industry boards and juries, blending creative practice with policy and funding insight. Currently based in Amsterdam, he’s prototyping new experiments including a Godot tower defense, showing he still prefers building proof-of-concept gameplay before scaling.
