Top SchoolAdrian-marian Popoviciu is an engine programmer with nine years of professional experience and a lifelong passion for game development that began at age 12. He has shipped engine-level features, tooling, and performance optimizations across studios from Gameloft to Wolcen Studio, and founded Kat Code Labs to build GIS/3D urban visualization and virtual production tooling. His work spans C++ runtime systems, Unreal Engine plugins, networking and shader systems, and practical integrations like a glTF exporter and UE5 texture sharing. Known for teaching and mentoring, he combines technical leadership with client-facing R&D to turn prototypes into demo-grade tech used for client acquisition. A detail that often surprises collaborators: code he wrote early in his career remains in production and helped a former employer grow to a multi-million valuation. Based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, he continues to bridge indie sensibility with studio-scale engineering.
