I developed a functional local chat using socket.io library, it will send and receive messages in real time and also will keep a list of current online users. I am really new to Javascript so many bad coding manners may be found. I am also new to HTML and CSS so the UI is not very impressive and contains known bugs. Overall I am proud for developing this project. This was an college project in which I needed to develop a socket based chat application, so I decided to use JavaScript as front-end and NodeJS as the back-end server. This is my first project I ever did and if you have any tips so I can improve my Web Developing skills feel free to do so!
