Top SchoolAdrien Porter is a Senior Data Scientist based in Los Angeles with nine years of experience applying quantitative and machine-learning techniques across fintech, ecommerce fraud prevention, and merchant analytics. He pairs a Princeton engineering background with professional finance credentials (CFA Level III and multiple FINRA series) that let him bridge data science and capital markets intuitions when building production models. Adrien has progressed from hands-on model development and web-scraping NLP projects to leading analytics at Riskified and now drives data science at Coinbase, focusing on scalable, business-impacting solutions. He brings a pragmatic mix of research-grade ML (CNNs, NLP, topic modeling) and product-oriented measurement—often translating complex model behavior into actionable merchant or risk mitigations. Fluent in turning messy real-world data into robust features and interpretable signals, he has a track record of shipping models that influence high-stakes financial and fraud decisions.
