Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAfonso De Oliveira is a seasoned software leader and founder with 14 years of professional experience and over 20 years building robust, maintainable software focused on scalability, testing, and clean code. Currently a Principal Engineer at Hopara and founder of Emocre, he blends modern web stack expertise (React, TypeScript, WebGL, PostgreSQL) with low-level systems work—recently developing a creature-capture game for the Sega Mega Drive that targets real hardware constraints. He has led engineering organizations as Head of Technology and Tech Lead, delivering customer acquisition and efficiency gains (including reducing onboarding time by 70%) while growing and mentoring multiple teams. A pragmatic agile practitioner who has served as Scrum Master and Product Owner, he combines architecture standards with hands-on implementation to drive true agility. An active maker and nomad with open-source front-end contributions (notably theming work on a popular Jenkins Material theme), he enjoys translating product vision into performant, production-grade systems. Based in São Paulo with an MBA in Project Management, he pairs technical depth with strategic leadership and a taste for unusual tech challenges.
