Top SchoolAfrizal Fikri is a data engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building high-throughput, cost-efficient systems across Southeast Asia’s leading platforms. He has led cross-functional teams at Grab to re-architect promo and campaign systems from batch Spark to real-time pipelines, delivering dramatic capacity, cost, and conversion improvements. Comfortable across Go, Java, Python, Scala and cloud-native infra (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform), he combines backend engineering with practical data-driven product thinking to double GMV efficiency and scale campaign capacity 10x. Earlier roles span B2B commerce, SCM, and startups where he improved reliability through idempotent design, event synchronization, and compile-time analysis, cutting runtime bugs and accelerating development. Based in Surabaya, he blends entrepreneurial grit from co-founding a data startup with deep operational experience in production telemetry and observability.
