Summary
Agnessa Schmudke is a curator, art historian, and cultural researcher in Berlin with eight years’ experience developing interdisciplinary exhibitions, live programs, and research-driven public initiatives at the intersection of contemporary art, technology, and society. As Assistant Curator and current Lead for Live and Outreach Programmes at LAS Art Foundation, she has co-organised major projects including a Sensing Quantum symposium and collaborations recognised by the S+T+ARTS Grand Prize. Previously she was a founding team member and deputy director at Callie’s residency, where she combined operational leadership with experimental curatorial programming and the creation of dedicated production infrastructure such as an interdisciplinary Sound Studio. Her practice emphasizes long-form collaboration with artists and researchers across institutional and material terrains to generate new knowledge and compelling public encounters. Trained at Humboldt and Freie Universität with an exchange at Rice, she brings both rigorous art-historical methods and hands-on program development to cross-sector partnerships.
