Senior🎓
Top SchoolAhmed Radwan is a Lead Data Engineer with 11 years of cross-industry experience building high-performance data collection and processing systems, currently based in Melbourne. An electrical engineering convert who cut his teeth at Unbounce, he has since led and scaled data teams and pipelines at companies like Moz, 99designs and UpGuard, specializing in data warehouses, event tracking and serverless/streaming architectures. He combines hands-on development (Python, Scala, AWS, Spark) with a product-minded approach, turning raw event streams into reliable analytics and data-driven features. Ahmed mentors junior engineers, sets tracking and code quality standards, and has repeatedly automated complex manual processes to unlock operational scale. He prefers remote-friendly, mid-sized teams with strong product-market fit and enjoys translating analytics into direct product value—outside work he’s often found playing beach volleyball or hiking with his dog. Notably, he has experience founding a web-crawling product and optimizing actor-model Scala systems to multiply throughput without extra resources.
