Aidan Taylor is a designer-maker and technical leader with eight years’ experience bridging creative electronics, embedded systems and community-focused manufacturing. He has led the creation of Newport Makerspace/Creudy Casnewydd as chairperson and now directs Medrau Maindee Makers CIC while serving as Technical Director and Managing Director roles at HUG by LAUGH, the university spin-out behind the HUG™ sensory device for people with advanced dementia. His background in electronic musical instrument design and hardware development informs a pragmatic approach to prototyping, production and assistive-technology innovation, supported by AHRC and Welsh Government–funded projects.
