Summary
🤩
RockstarAJ Heflin is a Senior Software Engineer with five years of full-stack experience building backend services and responsive front ends, currently contributing to Red Hat after a multi-year engineering role at The Walt Disney Company. He’s proficient in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and AWS, and has hands-on experience deploying bare-metal clusters and building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab Runner. AJ combines production-grade backend development with frontend fluency, having shipped Spring Boot APIs and Redux-powered UIs earlier in his career. A Florida State University computer science alum based in Tampa, he brings a practical, security-minded approach from internships to enterprise systems. Perpetually learning, he focuses on backend architecture while retaining the ability to move full-stack when projects demand. An understated strength is his operational experience—setting up infrastructure from the ground up—which helps bridge development and platform teams.
