Top SchoolAkash Mishra is a pragmatic engineering leader with 8 years of experience building and scaling backend systems, now serving as Head of Engineering at PushOwl in Bengaluru. He combines hands-on expertise in Python, Clojure and JavaScript with a strong bias for PostgreSQL and Terraform to deliver cost-efficient, reliable cloud-native services. At PushOwl he led a 12-person team, introduced pod-based ownership, reduced infrastructure costs by 30% and scaled notification throughput and webhook handling to support rapid growth. Comfortable across event-driven architectures, message queues and serverless pipelines, he prefers simple designs for complex problems and has been working remotely long before it became common. He also mentors engineers through growth frameworks, blending technical depth with practical people and process improvements.
