Top SchoolAkia Vongdara is a Frontend Engineer with 11 years of experience building accessible, test-driven React/TypeScript applications for startups and product teams across the Bay Area. Currently at Artera, she focuses on shipping user-facing features with robust Jest tests and a strong habit of daily code reviews and collaborative design feedback. Her background spans full-stack work—Apollo GraphQL, Redux, Storybook—and migrating codebases from FlowType to TypeScript to improve developer productivity. She prefers West Coast roles but is open to remote opportunities and values engineering cultures that prioritize feedback and quality. Outside of code she practices kendo, a discipline she says sharpens focus and rapid decision-making—an interesting contrast to her joking claim that she can "barely C" but can React quickly.
