Top SchoolAkira Maruoka is a Senior Director at Fixstars Corporation with nine years shaping ML systems and MLOps for edge and high-performance computing. He leads research and architecture across deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX/ONNXRuntime), optimization compilers (TVM, MLIR, LLVM), model compression, NAS, and end-to-end deployment pipelines. Akira blends hands-on engineering with people leadership, having progressed from intern to senior leadership while seconded to Renesas to design AI accelerators and tooling. He focuses on making performant, deployable ML—especially on embedded SoCs and GPUs—bridging compiler research and practical production workflows.
