Top SchoolAkmal Khikmatullaev is a Data Science Manager based in Berlin with 9 years of experience applying machine learning to optimize business processes and automate decision-making across healthcare, insurance, and finance. He has driven measurable impact—improving sales through refined lead-matching and A/B testing at wefox, and automating financial workflows like bank statement clearing and payment delay prediction at Diamant Software. At Pfizer he now leads data science efforts, combining research-grade experience from Fraunhofer IAIS (where he helped build a component-based QA framework and outperformed state-of-the-art systems) with hands-on production engineering dating back to low-level systems work on Blu-ray/UDF at ProDVD. Comfortable spanning research, model deployment, and automation, he emphasizes reproducible retraining pipelines that reduce manual intervention. His background in applied mathematics and a CS master’s gives him a strong foundation for both novel modeling (capsule networks, NLP) and robust engineering practices.
