Senior🎓
Top SchoolAkseli Lukkarila is a Senior Software Developer based in Helsinki with a decade of hands-on experience building backend systems, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure, often in Python, C++ and increasingly Rust. He blends deep audio and acoustics expertise with pragmatic DevOps practices—designing low-latency, high-throughput Rust services on AWS (ECS Fargate, Terraform) and modernizing build pipelines for cross-platform apps. Known for improving developer experience, he routinely speeds up PR checks, automates releases, and champions infrastructure-as-code, automated checks and clear documentation. He has a track record of end-to-end ownership from prototyping research-grade ASR and audio tools to production systems for major retailers and consumer apps. Outside engineering he’s a professional DJ and audio engineer, a background that surfaces in unique solutions for real-time audio testing and media tooling. Colleagues praise his initiative, mentorship and habit of leaving systems better than he found them.
