Top SchoolAkshat Sharma is a Technical Marketing Engineer at Cisco with 11 years of experience designing and evangelizing IOS-XR solutions for web-scale and service provider networks. He blends systems-level routing expertise (multicast, BGP, MPLS, ASR9k/7600 platforms) with hands-on DevOps and programmability—Python, Linux, containers, telemetry and orchestration for MSDC/Web-OTT use cases. At Cisco he drives architecture for lean, API-first routing OSes and builds open-source tooling that operationalizes streaming telemetry (notable projects include QoSon, OpenBMP Controller, Route-Shuttle and IOS-XR config integrations). Fast at prototyping and automation, he routinely turns complex network features into reproducible DevOps demos and testing frameworks. Based in San Jose, he targets large web and carrier customers and often combines embedded device programmability with cloud-native patterns. An avid open-source contributor, he focuses on making network observability and control programmable at scale.
