Top SchoolAkshat Sharma is a Member of Technical Staff based in Cupertino with 10 years of software engineering experience focused on distributed systems, databases, and storage replication. He holds an MS in Computer Science from Stony Brook and has built production-grade replication and fail-slow detection mechanisms that improved throughput and latency in research projects. At Everpure he currently works on block replication for FlashArray, and his prior roles span founding-engineer responsibilities building observability, search, and infrastructure at an early-stage startup to backend systems in Go and cloud-native tooling. He has hands-on experience implementing novel RPC chaining and byzantine-resilient broadcast evaluations as a grad researcher, showing a blend of systems research and pragmatic engineering. An active contributor to open-source UI theming on GitHub, he also brings a practical eye for UX and CSS refinements that improve developer-facing tooling. Akshat combines low-level storage and network optimizations with full-stack operational experience — a systems engineer who moves between research ideas and production deployments.
