Senior🎓
Top SchoolAkshay Dua is a seasoned software leader and founder with 15 years of engineering experience who now runs Slurpalicious, a Portland-area startup powering community-focused food delivery in Astoria, OR. He combines hands-on expertise across React Native frontends, Golang backends, GraphQL, PostGIS-enabled Postgres, Redis, and Ansible with a pragmatic plan to migrate to Kubernetes on DigitalOcean. Previously he shipped network and systems software at Intel, Juniper, and Peribit—work that included low-level optimizations, SNMP and SSH support, and real-time packet processing. Akshay’s approach blends production-grade stability and UX polish with a social mission to keep delivery affordable and fairly compensate local drivers. He holds advanced degrees in computer science and brings both research rigor and startup grit to building resilient, usable systems.
