Top SchoolAlamgir Qazi is a PhD researcher in Computer Science (AI/ML) at the University of Galway with 10 years’ experience building production-grade systems, spanning NLP, deep learning and LLM research as well as large-scale DevOps and full-stack engineering. He has led architecture and deployment for high-throughput data platforms (multi-node ClickHouse ingesting terabytes/day) and built CI/CD, IaC and automation at companies including DigitalOcean and iotascale. Comfortable shipping code across Node.js, Python and C, he combines hands-on systems engineering (DPDK-based packet capture, Kubernetes, EKS) with academic rigor in state space models and knowledge graphs. As a teaching assistant and former lecturer he bridges research and practice, turning complex ML concepts into coursework and reproducible tooling. Notably, he moved from leading DevOps teams to doctoral research, bringing production reliability insights into experimental ML systems. Located in Connacht, Ireland, he blends enterprise-grade operational experience with active AI/ML scholarship.
