Top SchoolAlan Barr is a Senior Software Engineer with over two decades of hands-on experience designing and delivering real-time audit tracking and quality-control systems for the security print and e-passport industries. Rooted in an early fascination with computing and a BEng in Electronics and Computing, he blends software and hardware knowledge to optimize systems where both domains intersect. He has a long tenure across Formscan, Inspectron and ZEISER, evolving from junior developer to senior engineer while consistently shipping reliable, security-conscious solutions. An active open-source hobbyist, he develops libraries and tools in his spare time and occasionally creates video games, reflecting a maker’s mindset beyond his day job. Based in Seattle, he also channels precision and patience into golf and PNW hiking—interests that mirror his methodical approach to engineering.
