Top SchoolAlan Chandler is a semi-retired managing director and seasoned software professional with 19 years as a consultant and a multi-decade career in systems, strategy and delivery across Logica and his own firm, Hartley Consultants. He specialises in building, hosting and supporting web sites and forums—notably deep expertise with Simple Machines Forum (SMF)—plus WordPress, Drupal, .NET, Access/SQL Server and complex JavaScript/PHP integrations. Alan focuses on small-business and club solutions that combine development with managed hosting and ongoing support, preferring part-time evening and weekend engagements that generate recurring revenue. His background spans hands-on programming through senior strategy roles in energy and utilities, giving him rare breadth from low-level systems to commercial strategy.
