Alan Ho is a seasoned technology founder and CEO with 13 years of experience building breakthrough systems at the intersection of quantum computing, AI, and cloud infrastructure. He co-founded and now leads Qolab to build high-quality qubits while previously leading product and program efforts for Google Quantum AI where he shipped cloud quantum services, Cirq, TensorFlow Quantum and large-scale simulators. Alan combines deep hands-on engineering (he helped build a quantum computer and delivered the first quantum ML experiments on real datasets) with go-to-market leadership, having founded and exited a mobile performance startup and negotiated multi-year national lab and enterprise agreements. He has steered research and product strategy as DataStax’s Chief Science Officer and advises early-stage quantum and AI startups on leveraging quantum optimization for generative and causal AI. Based in Los Angeles, he blends academic rigor from an Engineering Physics background with practical product execution across startups and hyperscalers. A less obvious strength is his ability to span from low-level hardware collaboration for qubits to applied ML frameworks and commercial partnerships, making him rare among technology CEOs.
