Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlan Hollis is a pragmatic, hands-on Technical Director with 14+ years delivering resilient, cloud-native systems and leading teams from startup turnarounds to enterprise migrations. He combines deep engineering skills across C#, Java, Go, Python and infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, AWS) with a consultative mindset honed in client-facing roles, driving cost control and operational reliability. Notable achievements include architecting a hybrid cloud GitOps platform, executing multi-terabyte data migrations, and introducing Loki/Prometheus-based observability at scale. He’s equally comfortable in code, systems design, or mentoring engineers—having repeatedly turned prototypes into production services and coached juniors to promotions. Based in Stony Stratford, he brings a bias for pragmatic experimentation: willing to trial new tech but focused on proven, maintainable outcomes.
