Summary
👤
SeniorAlan Simpson is a veteran web developer, author, and online instructor with decades of hands-on experience building web and database systems and teaching HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and database development. He has authored over 115 technical books—selling millions of copies worldwide—bringing deep practical knowledge of relational databases and web technologies to both classrooms and production systems. Alan spent more than a decade as a county web developer creating responsive public sites and complex intranet applications for elections, case management, HR, and document workflows, using tools from HTML5 and jQuery to ASP.NET and SQL. For the past 15 years he’s translated that institutional experience into engaging online courses at Ed2Go, mentoring hundreds of learners. His background in experimental psychology and early work on training software for the U.S. military give him a unique focus on how people learn technology, not just how to build it.
