Summary
👤
SeniorAlan Uthoff is a director-level product and engineering leader with 14+ years of hands-on software experience and over four years of management, blending deep C++/Objective-C and cross-platform game and graphics programming with product strategy. He founded and runs Swordpoint Studios, shipping tools like Slash N Forge and Gamepad Inspector while recruiting beta testers and managing roadmaps and budgets, and now leads product development at Smarter Reality. Alan pairs low-level systems skills (Qt/QML, OpenSSL, Core* frameworks, IOKit) with modern web and cloud experience (TypeScript, REST APIs, GCP) to bridge game/graphics tooling and scalable backend/frontend work. Based in Pflugerville, TX, he also co-owns and coaches at a local fencing club, bringing practical small-business operational experience and community-focused product thinking to his technical leadership.
