Top SchoolAlan Verdugo is a Security Automation Engineer with 9 years of experience building reliable, data-driven tooling across security, cloud, and data platforms. He has moved from systems and Unix specialization to leading development and automation efforts at companies like IBM, Mercado Libre, Oracle and now Fortra, where he designs detection tools for phishing and malicious web signals. Alan blends hands-on Python engineering, CI/CD and containerization with stakeholder-facing work—designing dashboards, automations and reports that surface data quality and impersonation risks. He has a track record of increasing team throughput and revenue through automation, and has served as a security guardian on high‑traffic ML chatbot platforms. Based in Mexico, he pairs formal software engineering training with practical experience across large enterprise and consumer-facing systems.
