Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlankar Dutta is a postdoctoral research fellow in computational astrophysics with eight years of experience in high-performance hydrodynamic simulations, plasma modeling, and large-scale data analysis. Currently at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, he studies galaxy formation and astrophysical gas dynamics, building and running scalable simulations to probe complex plasma processes. Trained through an integrated PhD at IISc as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow, he blends rigorous theoretical grounding with hands-on HPC and data-driven techniques. Comfortable with both code and physics, he often tackles computational bottlenecks to extract observationally relevant predictions from noisy, large datasets.
