Top SchoolAlasdair Blackwell is a tech lead and product-minded full-stack designer-developer with 13 years of experience building privacy-first, accessible web applications and developer tools. He has led engineering and product efforts at startups and agencies—from co-founding Decoded and Blox to heading technology at Everledger and guiding teams at ustwo—bridging strategy, security and hands-on delivery. His work spans user-centred design, test-driven development and modern stacks (Next.js/GraphQL among others), with notable projects including a DfE-funded SEND school app, an experimental Web Monetization plugin for Coral Talk, and an AI-powered Mac app that detects cats on keyboards. A committed mentor and educator, he has also built learning programmes as Lead Lecturer at Ada and repeatedly returns to freelance consulting to tackle diverse, mission-driven problems. Based in England, he combines entrepreneurial instincts with a pragmatic focus on accessibility, privacy and sustainable product outcomes.
